SWCD Supervisors are unpaid elected officials who serve staggered three-year terms. They establish local conservation priorities and provide guidance and direction for the District. Responsibilities include administering the district program, coordinating the help of government agencies, and establishing sound policies and priorities concerning the work to be accomplished in conservation education and technical assistance on the land.

2024 Board Members
Mike BroermannMike and his wife, Lisa, live in Israel Township. He farms 950 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat and hay, and raises feeder calves. He is also a crop insurance adjuster. Mike began serving on the Board in 2015, and he is the Fiscal Agent.
Kip DenlingerKip lives in Jackson Township. He raises 1100 acres of corn and soybeans. Kip began serving on the Board in 2012, and he currently serves as Secretary.

Brian DeatonBrian and his wife, Kristi, live in Jackson Township. He and his family grow, corn, soybeans, and wheat in Preble County and in Wayne County and Union County, Indiana. Brian's first term on the Board of Supervisors began in 2022. He is now Chairman
Jim LeedyJim and his wife, Amy, live in Twin Township. Jim and his son, Scott, farm 1000 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat, and they finish 800 head of cattle each year. Jim has been on the Board since 1983 and currently serves as Vice-Chairman.

Donald HaysDonald and his wife, Sarah, live in Jackson Township. He manages the farming operations of Geeding Farms and operates a seed sales and treatment business. Donald began serving on the Board of Supervisors in 2020. He currently serves as a member.
